I would really, really, really like LSU to get the last two, but even if they go looney tunes and go elsewhere, this is a damned good recruiting class! Way to geaux Coach Miles and staff!!!!!
I don't know who got to Williams to have him waffling like this, really makes me wonder - brings out the conspiracy theorist in me. Generally when a player sets up a press conference at his old high school and his family shows up, including his mother wearing a school's shirt, then announces his choice you'd figure he pretty much knows where he's going. I heard Cox was considering Okie State - which baffles me to how this is even a thought. LSU vs. Okie State - one competing for National Championships and the other competing to stay out of the bottom of the Big 12. I know I'm biased but sure seems like a no-brainer to me. I'd like to know what the hangup is here???? Well, hopefully they'll both come to their senses and sign the LOI with the Tigers.
He's 19. He made a decision but then started to be unsure of it, probably because of things Orgeron was promising him. It doesn't mean it was anything dirty or illegal. Being at a consistent winner isn't a requirement for a lot of kids. Oklahoma St might be closer to home. Maybe he feels like he can be a part of turning around the program there. Maybe earlier playing time. Too many other factors besides just level of success the program has enjoyed.
They are also reporting that Keiland has signed a LOI with Ole Miss.     edit: http://mb28.scout.com/fosuinsiderfrm5.showMessage?topicID=2013.topic edit2: Author Comment Pokes28 Junior Varsity Posts: 128 (2/1/06 3:06:48 pm) Reply New Post LSU loses top RB commit Keiland Williams who was a verbal to LSU faxed in his LOI to Ole Miss. Hey guys, just wanted to stop by and tell you congrats on what looks like another solid class. Your going to continue to be a factor nationally, and the whole SEC looks STRONG. AR finished mid 20s depending on who you talk to, but we're pretty happy considering this class looked AWFUL about three weeks ago. The new coaching staff has earned its money so far here (if we could only get rid of that pesky head coach)! Hopefully we can play many meaningful games to both programs the next few Novembers. Geaux Tigers, Go Hogs!
Cox was a surprise. I was more worried about Sheppard decommitting. Wonder what made him change his mind. Any ideas?
