I read on another thread where you, I think it was you, stated that OU fans are glad to get rid of Pellini because they blame him for the Orange Bowl loss. Thats BS. I don't know of anyone that has even mentioned his name regarding the loss. You must have read that on some Sooner message board. I'm sure it was posted by a few idiots. Every school has them.

btw, I like Pellini. He will end up as a head coach somewhere.

When Pelini was leaked, I started surfing OU boards, and that was the overwhelming opinion Peabody, wasn't saying YOU said it.

I know you didn't say that I said it.

I was just surprised at the comment.

I don't know personally of one Sooner Fan that has ever made that comment.

Like I said, there are idiots on every schools message boards.

I would guess that most not all of those guys were just pissed that he was leaving. I'm sure some actually believed it though.

I think you are mistaken, from what we can tell...the only possible HC offer that came before Miles was maybe Butch Davis, but there has been no confirmation of that. Petrino was never offered the job. Miles was the 2nd guy interviewed formally, and Skip and the committee were 'blown away' by his interview.

I visited multiple Sooner boards, and I have to agree with the others...I would estimate 80% of the guys posting said they were glad to see him go because he 'ruined' a previously great defense. I don't agree with them, and I know most whiners post more often than rational people when there is blame to be handed out..so even if 80% of the posters were against him that doesn't mean jack squat in regards to how most OU fans really feel.

Here's my beef - I WASN'T HIRED!!!!

Anyone who's been reading this forum for the last year or so knows that no one is a more qualified football mind than me. Every Monday morning I can tell you exactly what went wrong and why. Heck, any fool can tell you what went right.

I sent my resume to Les, including some of my previous posts. I was shocked when he refused my offer to help the team.

So next season, when the team doesn't live up to expectations, even in a win, don't come crying to me. I wanted to help. Les wouldn't let me. :hihi:

I like his fire and intensity I just hope he is able to really analyze our opponents and out-coach them (obvious I know).

That said, this looks to be a very talented staff. A like all of the NFL experience and the staff seems to be that perfect combination of youth and experience.

One things is for certain. It's not very often that a new staff is walks into a situation with such deep talent to work with.

don't think anyone's mentioned this yet but I'm glad we retained Tommy Moffitt as our strength coach - this dude does a phenominal job!

I know I am going to get bashed, but of all the coaches on the previous staff, the only one I thought I wouldn't miss would be Jimbo Fisher. I really was more excited about a Gary Crowton when his name came up. I hope it is true that Saban kept Jimbo from calling his own game and Jimbo shows his true self this year. I hope he shows some imagination and opens up the playbook.
