I can assure you that Saban & Tuberville both have the '04 game circled, as it will likely determine the SECWest. I can also assure you that Auburn is feeling fortunate to have the game at J-H and on LSU's third-consecutive road week. AU is going to need every break it can get against a well-coached, talent laden team. I'm already gettin' chills just thinking about it.
I live in AZ, and few years back they outnumbered ND fans probably 3-1 for the Fiesta Bowl. Playing in Tiger Stadium against the defending nat'l champs may bring more than 1500. I guess we shall see.
sorry to disappoint you caddy.. it will be our first game on the road.. get buckled up cause the real tigers will be in JH that day.
Its not the Hokies, but still good for the sos. I was on there asylum board and they had some very derogatory things to say about LSU and fans...etc. Tried to post the link but was unable to. Looked like trojans, aubies & beavers chimin in.

BTW I am getting sick of the letters to the papers out here saying that the SEC doesn't have the b@lls to play out here on the left coast - let's get some SEC action out here and show these jack@sses what REAL football is all about!!!!
Actually, I may be in th minority among AU fans on this one. Most feel that opening against a top-ranked non-con is too risky. JMHO, but I believe that if you want to be the best, you must compete against the best. The series has actually been very good for recruiting exposure, unfortunately it has been overshadowed by the antics of Larry, Moe, & Curley down on the Plains. On another front, the USC fans I met in LA and in Auburn have been classy and more than a little curious at the passion that SEC fans display for their teams. They were quite envious of our tailgates, home and away. It's too bad that LSU and USC couldn't play a well deserved matchup for the NC. I have a strong feeling that each fanbase would have a little more respect for the other. Yes, I stand corrected. It is one of three straight games against an SEC opponent, but AU will be the first. Hey, maybe that's another advantage for AU, but only if they can get their stuuf in a pile in time to surprise LSU. As for the real Tigers in J-H, I guess I'll just wait to see, no offense intended.
I liked that lil series yall had going. Something to look forward to to kick off the CF season. To bad you caught them on their upswing years . Is their any talk of renewing with them in the future?
Well, LSU played at Arizona last year, and we travel to Arizona State in 2007 I believe. I don't think USC has the balls to schedule LSU.
It definitely was something to look forward to , early in the season. There are many AU fans that would like to see a home-at home with USC every few years, but i think the likelihood will be difficult. Scheduling has become much more difficult due to the many conference juggling by several schools, most notable with the Big East. We had a good little series with Syracuse going and a planned series with Clemson , both of which were derailed due to conference issues. Additionally, with the current stadium expansion at J-H, it has placed a premium on Home games that generate more direct revenue for the university. We'll have a new AD soon, so maybe he can correct the scheduling deficiencies.....we'll see.
