I wonder if this is how Miles thought the 4th quarter would go in the Superdome sending Jefferson back on the field.
Both Baylor and a 1 loss Stanford will eventually jump an undefeated Ohio State in the BCS if they both win out.
It was horrible,.. a weird fucking nightmare of a game,.. same kinda jinxed shit as last year's. Stanford's game plan worked and they outplayed us, the Cardinal deserved the win. ...sucks either way I look at it.
They have a better head coach. They were better prepared. Oregon was not prepared for what Stanford did on either side of the ball and never made the proper adjustments to give themselves a chance to win the game. David Shaw is the real deal. If that game was played 10 times, I think Stanford wins it 9 times out of 10.
I was just telling this guy out here the same thing. Oregon fan should be most concerned about this issue with their new coach. It looked like an abject failure to make any adjustments in the game at all, and if not for some good fortune, they would never have gotten back into the game. Who knows, with some good adjustments earlier, maybe they come back to steal the game and are still in the hunt. I read that one of their players said that "we don't kick FGs, we score TDs". Well, if you guys played a more balanced type of offensive game and your kicker got some shots throughout the year, maybe you would have won tonight and last year against Stanford. The last 4 games I have watched Oregon play, Auburn, LSU, Stanford x 2, they are 0-4. They can't handle the bigger, more physical teams. They can't seem to handle the pressure of the big game, either. Their fans are getting lit up all over the internet for this loss, apparently, for years of boorish behavior. They even have "we want Bama" shirts that they have been wearing. Some tonight are suggesting changing those to "we want Mama". Too funny. I talked to an Oregon alum this weekend who admitted to me that he had Oregon penciled into the BCSNCG and had Oregon winning tonight by 14. Instead of engaging in an argument at our Catholic Church, I simply reminded him that it was still early November. Will be interesting to see what, if anything, he has to say this weekend. Anyway, I am not really surprised they lost. I am curious to see if their new coach can be as good as Les Miles has been in maintaing the elite and relevant status of our program post-Saban.
