Honestly this entire thing came down to that last on-side kick.

If Oregon recovered it (again) there is NO DOUBT they would've scored and won the game 27-26.

Then we would all be talking about this morning what an idiot Shaw was and how it was the worst coaching meltdown it his century, blah, blah, blah.

Stanford had the game plan and the players to execute it. It was a shame to see it almost slip away at the end like that, though.

I would have been begging for voters to drop Oregon down to the #4 spot behind #3 Baylor, even with a win.

I am driving around Portland, ORE today. All the flags are gone. The media sites barely mentioning the game, especially on radio. This reminds me very much of what happened after we kicked their ass. Once they recover from the loss, however, they will be back with their coulda, woulda, shoulda talk, how they are better than Bama and LSU, and how they probably still deserve a shot if certain things go their way, namely FSU and Stanford losing a game. They won't even allow themselves to be put behind Baylor, or tOSU in the BCS standings. It's just unthinkable. Too much entitlement around here. For the record, I love Ore State fan. Yes, I remember our home opener against them in 2004 and how we very easily could have lost that game, and probably should have, but those fans are just freaking happy to win a game. They never really win outside of the Dennis Erickson 2001 or 2002 season (I don't remember the year they finished #2 in the polls). Seems that much of the country is happy Oregon lost. Their fans have become disreputable across the entire country. I realize the Giant Duck is generally respected here, and I respect that. Not all Duck fans are bad news, but most of them do carry around a chip on their shoulder and a feeling of self-entitlement. I used to go round and round with these people. I stopped doing that after we kicked their fucking ass in Dallas. Now I just let them talk and I humor them. I'm sure they will singing a new tune soon enough about next year when Condaleeza Rice will be on the selection committee and will help put these west coast faggots in position to finally win something. Grrrr....I'm not a fan of this University. Sorry if I offended anyone.

That was Oregon in 2001 that finished #2. That was the flack about a non conference winning Nebraska getting a shot at the NC vs Miami, and got blown off the field. Everybody thought Oregon should have been given that chance instead.

The year LSU ruined it all for Tennessee. lol

Then Ore St. must have been #2 in 2002. I remember watching them in the Fiesta Bowl against Notre Dame while I was knocking back beers and throwing darts at a still sort of Tulane bar - Bruno's. lol No one in the place gave a damn about the game, but Ore St. kicked Notre Dame's ass. Of course, everyone has kicked Notre Dame's ass this century. lol

When they can make it to a BCS Bowl, they always get their asses kicked. And rightfully so.

I checked back, it was 2000, they got up to #4. Their only loss was by 3 points at Washington, who ended up ranked #3.

Jordan Jefferson pouty face? T-Bob helmet throw?

I do appreciate your opinion on Shaw, Stacey.

It was far worse than pouty face. It was full on crying.

That was Josh Huff, he's a drama guy, puts on shows,.. is hurt, they carry him off the field, then he returns and saves the day. Very talented, but I hate that kind of shit.
