I didn't think you were. Just explaining the situation about how hard it is to beat AU at Jordan Hare.
I was like most thinking we'd kill em. But in retrospect, it was a foolish thought considering the history of this series. And explaining that, in fact, Miles has a VERY good record against AU. Your first post said otherwise.

To some extent we are overrated...mainly on the offensive side of the ball. I think most people will agree our D is a quite good.

Our expectations are way high everyone...we want to get back to the big show. This is not last years team and we have lost some key players. This team is a work in progress and I am fine with that as long as it shows progress. I believe this team has the potential to do some of the same things last years team did, but they may have to work a lot harder to get there.

Florida game is going to reveal alot about this team and where it may be going this season.

I think 2011 has people spoiled.

This is absolutely true. I guess that's what sucks so much about accomplishing so much, only to rematch with Bama after we beat them at their house--and lay a huge egg.

There is every chance that the domination shown by LSU in '11 won't come around again any time soon. However, we've won two NC's in the past decade after losing games and playing some close ones along the way. Ohio State won a NC after playing ALL close games.

It "can" be done. Will it this year? I don't know. The further we're getting into the season, the more I'm missing some key contributors from last year (sans the QB's--though Mett has some learning to do, as well.)

Two great programs in the same division, much less same conference. That is an aberration, freak of nature, kind of situation. Every year though is a different year. No one picks it up where the last team leaves off. Coach Saban has made it clear to every player on the team, this not the team that won the national championship. They are gone, even if you were a part of that team, the dynamics, chemistry, momentum of that team is long gone and it will never be back. So you have to create a new identity and in time you see how the pieces fit.

UGA is the same way honestly. Nasty D-front and Jarvis Jones is even better than Clowney.

But we don't play them, unless we both make it to the SECCG.

Because they have dominated every minute of every game that they have been in this year! Who else would you put at the #1 spot? No other team in the country has simply dominated like bama has. Besides I want them to be clearly the best team in the country when the come to death valley on 11-3! Leave no doubt!!

That's great--except when it doesn't work out that way. We went into Tuscaloosa and beat them last year, and still, there was doubt.
