    That's how I got started. As a first grader, I remember my dad and another LSU grad from New Orleans who was a neighbor listening to the games on wwl radio with an antenna extended by copper wire draped like a spider web over our swing set. I remember the throwback games live.

    I learned how to curse when the transmission faded in and out during those games.

    A priest from Miami who was a big Canes fan and later became the team's spiritual advisor was almost kicked out of seminary school for rooting fot the Convicts to beat the Catholics.

    The Jesuits are like the Pope's army. This Pope is a Jesuit and a lot of Catholics think he is too liberal. Younger ones love him. Rooting against Catholic Notre Dame is similar to the Pope reaching out to other Christian faiths...

    I heard that story in the 80's or 90's so who was Pope then? John Paul II?
