Red55 lived in the Pentagon. Remember the food fight in the cafeteria Ole Miss week? And the panty raids !!
Was a sophomore in ‘72. ND game was the loudest I ever attended. Great payback for being cheated the year before.
I was living in the Northgate apts. Nothing like the palatial Southgate where rich students live now. Was a shtty effeciency over a convenience store but across from street from Tiger Stadium. It did have a little balcony overlooking Nicholson drive just big enough to hold a grill and was a great place to drink beer and watch the cars and motorhomes go by and then walk across the street to the stadium.
Never forget that one. I was a “youngster” (soph) at USNA. Don’t renenber circumstances, but we (youngsters) were invited into wardroom (where the tv was located) to watch the game with the upperclassmen. Seems like the upper class were for ND. I led a boisterous group for LSU. At some point we were banished from wardroom and I specifically was threatened with being put on report for cheering (rabidly, I suppose), for LSU. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed. But, I never saw the inside of the Wardroom again until senior year!
