    I took the liberty of retrieving one of his posts on the issue concerning Oliver:

    Toooooooo much pressure on a young man
    You don't know all the facts ... young women today can easily push a kid past his breaking point ... and although this is no excuse for hitting a woman ... LSU should support the kid in an attempt to deal with his personal crisis ... he's trying to wrap up a starting position for the first time in his LSU career ... he's lettered for two years and finally looks to start this year at DT position ... he's only a junior and still with great potential and a possible NFL career ahead of him ... a career he may have a shot at if he can limit the "noise" in his life and focus on study and FB ...

    put yourself in his shoes ... college is no picnic as a student athlete ... much less as that and a young father stretched for money ... he's a poor kid on scholarship ... no doubt this trouble stems from the pressure on Melvin for support of a child ... support that he cannot provide as a student athlete ...

    the kid gets frustrated and both parties are too damned immature to "turn it off" before it blows up into violence ... probably Melvin saw his father slap his mother as a kid also ... **** happens ... he needs counseling and support from his LSU family ... not condemnation.

    Dude,

    LSU shouldn't gloat or take joy in other programs' troubles. If crimes were committed let the legal system deal with it. With over 100 people associated with every top D1-A program you can't be 100% sure of everyone's character. Ever hear of something called Kharma or pray for your enemies and love those who persecute you.

    Oh, well. At least this year they're getting their pathetic excuse together earlier in the year as to why they won't be champions.....AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a bunch of thugs. It wouldn't surprise me if Pete Caroll doesn't remove these players from the team even if they are implicated in this mess. I have historically been a Florida hater, but man, USC is giving them Gators a run for their money!!!!!!!!!!

    Hope the good guys and bad guys get exactly what they deserve. I also hope the entire USC team is eligible, including Mike Williams, when we beat them in the Orange bowl. That way no excuses.

    Why is this story developing so slowly - is it just me, or is this a BIG deal? This goes well beyond the Colorado mess (if it's true) - these were not impressionable, innocent potential student athletes. These were active members of the "National Championship, we're classy U, tradition central Trojans." Weed and drinking should raise enough eyebrows without the rape allegations. Does anyone else think this is a BIG DEAL?

    USC is Dog Droppings of the PAC Ten

    Whatever bad things happen at USC are fine with me. The Northwest schools have to put up with the political influence of the Southen California schools year after year. Sanctions rarely are implemented against USC or UCLA. About time Justice is served..........Go Beavers!!!!

    ONE HOT LITTLE BEAVER COULD SINK THE WHOLE USC PROGRAM THIS SEASON :hihi: ... screw karma ... and screw Pete Carroll and all those lame azz USC clowns who exalt themselves

    Carroll ... proclaiming his National Championship and running a "zoo" over there in Hollywood ... this isn't karma enough for these animals

    What goes 'round comes 'round. I hope their overhyped program IMPLODES
