1. My gut says this is Cam attempting to execute what the Head Coach wants done.

Meaning -- Miles is giving instructions to Cam about game plan and play calling
  2. LSU passes 33% of the time and has passed for more yards than they have ran in the other 66% of the time.

However, empirical statistics have never altered Les Miles 2(run) + 1(pass) = big game loss formula.
  3. All I basically saw was four plays.

    Run Left

    Run Right

    QB keeper

    Bomb down field.

    .... ooops .. forgot two ...

    Pathetic Screen, and WR Screen.

  4. Bingo. We have us a winner.

While Les is not likely calling any plays during the game (although the call to run it 4 straight times inside the 2 is debatable where that came from), he is most likely giving Cam a game plan he would like installed for the upcoming opponent. In this case, he let Cam know that we're going run, run, run, and then run some more. Until the wheels come off.

  5. Have you EVER heard any such comments from OC's at any program?

  6. I guess I have to be the guy that points out that teams aren't going to hire an OC that wants to run an offense that doesn't suit the players well. LSU will never hire a Mike Leach or Dana Holgorsen. Sorry.
  7. It HAS to be at least some form of this. There simply is no other explanation as to why LSU has gone through so many OC's yet always look the damn same. I swear some of it goes back to when you know who was here. It's some sort of gris gris

  8. Then why do they (meaning LSU, i.e. CLM) recruit the dual threat QBs? I mean, if you just plan to run the power I, why do you need the dual threat? CLM wastes talent on the offensive side. It's so damn frustrating.

Cam's preferences are certainly much more balanced than we saw in the MSU game, and several other games where CLM clearly has had a heavy hand in strategizing. In fact, Cam is probably favors the pass more than the run. Anyone w/eyes can see who is formulating the game plan, it's just a matter of whether you are looking.

A buddy of mine from the northeast sent me a text today out of the blue, and it said "Les has lost his way". I replied back, "yep, I agree fully." This is a guy who follows football fairly closely, but doesn't have the connection to LSU I do, and he sees it, objectively.
  9. Les thinks I-right 28 Toss Sweep is a pass play.

  10. So you just make up shit in the absence of empirical evidence? That's what we call an opinion.
