We’re Talking a Back Bayou Beat Down ...

    1. Taking Special Preps for Environment.
Heat Index above 110 most of the game will be a challenge for both teams ... Special tents and equipment (fans, etc) to keep towels cold and keep players cool and hydrated ... Sure LSU has the best Equip but being smart and trainers staying on top of the players watching for those signs
    2. Setting a max limit of plays (10) before substitution based on temperature
    3. Three & out Longhorns 1st Qtr drives

Set tone early get a HUGE HIT on Sammy (14th fastest gun in West). By no means allow Texas more than 1 first down early. Texas will win the kickoff and owns refs.
    4. Get an early turnover ... Be the first
Eliminate offensive turnovers and win the turnover battle
    5. Set the tone offensively with draws (Esp QB draws) and screens to beat their blitzes likely targeting Deculus, et al
    6. Score early and often to quiet them.

28 - 3 Halftime should be enough to get Herman doused going to his locker room.
Nothing sweeter than a quiet stadium of severely overheated arrogant Texas Bs
Make successful Red Zone trips and beat them when they sell out in their coverages to blitz
    7. Score or big runs with Special Teams
Shorten that field and beat them quicker
    8. Stay in Shotgun until run established. Then switch up plays to confound Grinch
If the run is working, keep plowing them until they sell out and beat them with the pass.
    9. Hit Ehlinger Early Often Repeatedly
Key on this guy knowing he’s a run first 10 cent brain against elite defenses.
    10. Avoid stupid drive killing/sustaining penalties, esp Targeting Heisman Sammy

Bonus ... 11. Don’t let up after getting huge lead ... Put it to Herman knowing he’s coming to Tiger Stadium Next Year

    Goals for Game:
    1. 75 - 80 plays ... 38-52 points (Let up or not)
    2. No Turnovers leading to scores !!!
    3. 5 sacks on Ehlinger (knock him out game)
    4. Get 3 - 5 Defensive Turnovers
    5. At least 1 or 2 Long returns by Stingley
    6. 5 Passing TDs 400+ yards
    7. 150 - 200 yards rushing
    8. Limit Texas to 10-17
    9. Huge lead at Halftime (Douse Herman)
    10. Joe Burrow Sec Off & Natl Player of Week so we can kick off the Heisman campaign

Did you come up with this on your own, or copy and paste from somewhere else? Good stuff, sounds like a good blueprint.

On my own and concerned about the Heat well before the game ...

I can’t believe that we, of all people, have trouble with the heat. It’s like west coast snowflakes or something. You did a good job explaining and discussing it in the other threads. Thanks.

This was a one-in-a-thousand Type event.
These Texas idiots don’t realize the heat coming off that artificial surface in addition to the safety issues with heat with 25% RH at temps above 100 ... It’s a deadly combo

They need to put grass down and that idiot Herman knows it ... Watch them change to grass within the next year or two
