I have yet to see a news outlet refer to his race. He referred to himself as mixed race and half-white. I could be wrong here but if it's a white guy, there doesn't seem to be a problem in saying so right away. The Virginia shooter committed his crime on live TV. There's a difference between mass murderers and serial killers in several ways. Serial killers do their work over time and typically select societal throw-aways like prostitutes or kids from broken homes/poverty. When 20 prostitutes get strangled or mangled over a 10-year period, nobody cares. Shoot and kill 10 "regular" people in one spree and it scares the shit out of everyone. I don't know why white serial killers become part of the infamous criminal lexicon and most black serial killers don't.
Not that it makes a difference but he's only recently from Oregon. He was a socal looney toon. It's Adam Lanza all over again. His mother told neighbors in their former neighborhood that her son had mental issues and didn't like noise. He was a loner. He spent most of his time at home with mommy and managed to collect nearly 15 guns. WTF is wrong with that mother? Sorry, but if your kid is 26, still living at home, has never had a girlfriend, has a temper, and collects gun, GET SOME EFFING HELP.

Yes, I think so. But your point last night was well-taken. I wouldn't be completely surprised to see some present a darkened picture of him. I had to see several photos before I could say he definitely did not look all-white....if that makes sense. I guess my point would be that if we all saw a picture of him as a random person and were asked his race, very few would say mixed race or half-white. Non-white races in particular, would not call him white IMO. I wouldn't be surprised to see something else in the mix besides just white or black. Maybe asian....Filipino?
