Dantonio's seat is a little hotter tonight after Sparty not only loses but fails to cover. That would be a headline tomorrow and a Heisman / Justin Fields campaign debut. Neal Brown's decision to take the West Virginia job, or WVU's decision if that's your take, comes into question tonight after a big loss to Texas (in spite of it being a road game.) I was surfing around a little yesterday and decided to look at the game predictions from the two teams' 247 sites. Everyone of them was for the team they cover.
Outside the Tigers I'm watching Iowa vs. Michigan....think Iowa wins that one. Auburn - Florida will be a good one, so will Mich. St. - Ohio St. I think Auburn beats Florida and Ohio St. likely makes a statement against Mich. St. Ohio St. has probably been the most consistent team this year so far.
Here's something I'll give ya back to chew on. 50/50 money on the two teams this morning with tickets for Auburn going at 4 to 1. The public is B.I.G. on Auburn. In fact, here's a quote from the "bookmakers world" on that game. "The masses are definitely on Auburn, 100 percent.” When the public is that much behind a team? That has ALL the makings for a lot of people to lose money today. If you looked around this week you saw a lot of the prognosticators, as well as fans, call for Auburn big. Yet, the line moved about a point fluctuating between 2½ and 3½. Vegas, and the public, don't see eye to eye. That has ALL the makings for a lot of people to lose money today. Personally, I played the under. As to the straight up winner? I like Florida's run defense against Auburn's running attack. I like Florida's pass pro versus Auburn's passing defense. Then again, I liked over 69½ in your game so what do I know?
