Don't be surprised if that throwaway visit gets thrown away in lieu of LSU.

    I'd be okay with that.

I'm actually hoping he goes to Duke so everyone is disappointed, to be honest. That'd be the best thing ever.

What's a good way to lose the #10 qb by having the #1 player in the nation sign with us. I think everybody would be happy with having T.Pryor sign with us. JJ is not going to leave LSU b/c P.Johnson is communicating w/ T.Pryor and he probably wouldn't even know. Not saying that T.Pryor will sign with us but it wouldn't hurt to try. Also no matter what LSU is still the best fit for him especially better than all the schools you listed except Ole Miss who Scout.com has listed as his only offer thats what I went by.

what do all of those guys have in common?

they all haven't done anything in their careers...

you show me a QB scared to compete, I'll show you a loser.

Pryor is a beast, but would he fit in our offense? A talent like him would require a lot of running from the QB position which we traditionally do not do. We would probably have to run some sort of shotgun spread option to maximize his talents.

Recruiting 101; recruit the best players possible.
Football 101; there will be competition at each position.

Did you notice what type of offense we ran with Perrilloux and even at times with Flynn?

This is the prototype player for the spread offense. True dual threat, strong arm. He would give defenses fits.

Cause we didn't have a qb who could run, that's why RP is going to add a lot to Crowton's style of offense. Not that Flynn couldn't run at all but even without an ankle injury, he's no RP. RP's arm is much stronger too, I love Flynn but things are only going to get better with RP and the RB's/WR's lining up AND him forcing defenses to be accountable for the QB too- it REALLY adds a lot for coaches to game plan for against us, we're going to be SIC!!

The "Best possible" that fit your scheme. You can't pigeon-hole qb's, there are different styles when you're talking about the "Best". RP was the #1 dual-threat in the country when we recruited him but Mark Sanchez was the #1 Pro-style qb, he went to USC.

So, I guess with Crowton we are officially switching over to the spread offense with the focal point around a mobile QB?
I haven't followed our recruiting much, but it's kind of crazy to think that we will be more like a team, say West Virginia, than what we normally were under Jimbo's pro-style offense.
