Yeah...I thought that too...although of course the article is very vague. However, as I said...I'm a "glass half FULL" kinda guy, so I'm gonna look at it from the perspective that makes ME feel better. But even if it were as you suggest it might be, I still can't help but wonder what prompted LSU to be brought into the conversation at all...seeing that we haven't been on his radar...to my knowledge...or vice versa.
Pryor looked so good out there today. I would love it if this idea actually had legs, and we could make a decent run at him. Perrilloux and Pryor, what a treat it would be to watch that Tiger team! He did say he was going to announce on signing day, which leaves our coaching staff some time to build rapport with Pryor and his family. And I know just how to do it: After Miles wins the National Championship Monday night, he should offer Pryor a scholarship in his post game conference... I'd say that would be one way to make up for the lack of interest shown by LSU in recruiting him thus far. It would take some serious balls to recruit that way. Come to think of it, it would take Lesticles.
Pryor is a great specimen, but far from a polished QB. Regardless, the only reason he would be interested in LSU is because we're playing in the NC. He would not have signed here no matter how hard we recruited him. Sorry guys.
He's the hot prospect in the country right now. LSU is playing for crystal. Any writer for an LSU site or even otherwise would be remisce not to mention Pryor's thoughts about the Tigers if given the opportunity. At one point, LSU WAS in his crosshairs. Who knows, maybe he is still available.
after watching pryor on tv today this personally makes me sick i know we have a lot of special players but he looked like he was in a league of his own today
You know Pryor all of a sudden turned his attention to Michigan once Rodriguez was announced, and that was a little over 3 weeks ago. If Michigan is truly the front runner, and they did it in the span of 3+ weeks, then why can't LSU do the same in 4+ plus weeks? Does this make sense to anyone?
But RR had been recruiting Pryor seriously for a long period of time at WVU. WVU was always a major player in his recruitment. At least 3 of RR's offensive staff appear to be going with him to UM. Michigan's new staff didn't come out of nowhere with reguards to his recruiting. Les Miles and LSU will seriously recruit Shepard along with the other 2 Texas QBs.
His interest mostly followed Rich Rod, it seems. He was really high on West Virginia because of his offense, more than anything. It'd be incredible if LSU somehow pulled off a miracle of this caliber, but its the biggest longshot ever. Hes already got his visits set up (even though the one to Duke is basically a throwaway visit) and LSU has been out of the discussion from the beginning.
