My take is like many here concerning adjustments. We seem to allow too many of the same plays to burn us for points and chunks of yardage before we find a way to control it, that’s all on DA. What is he doing for his 2 1/2 mil because our technique sucks balls and our scheme is weak. When players are out of place, take bad angles, blow tackles, and get beat by weaker players something is not happening with leadership. As far as the offensive scheme contributing as @tirk mentioned, I buy a measure of that but not when you’re getting burned every first series of the game. Players are fresh and should be ready to make a stand, we have not been. I just hope he turns it around because we have an offense that can win it all, it would be sad to have our d cost us a championship.

Right, my point was not about school. I only recall Oregon fans warning us about Crow. Never Wiscy fans about Aranda.

Bama runs a 3-4 and has for a long time. I seem to remember LSU's teams in the 4-3 format doing much better vs the spread teams.

It seems us and Bama, teams who recruit well, are starting to fucking suck in the 3-4. I just don't think is highly realistic for us to have the right bodies to operate and rotate a 3-4 effectively. UNLESS, you got a deep LB core.

Bama usually has the LB's. This year they re depleted on injuries.

Also, we don't seem to blitz enough.

I mean, what got us killed is gap control. Plain and simple.

Not sure blitzing was the answer there. The LBs should have played contain but were getting suckered in at the line in the gaps. Then Plumlee would run that counter on the edge. Just need more discipline.

We looked slow on defense last night. Sometimes you just have days like that where you can’t get the lead out of your ass. It’s definitely a concern but I don’t think we’re at “panic” level. I definitely believe last night was probably the low point of the season for our defense. I firmly believe that.
