Re: Polls #1 Coaches, #1 AP I think she's going to be okay. We had thrown a dinner party last night, and when the last guests were leaving, we walked them out to their car. Both girls ran back to the house first, and my older daughter shut her sister's left ring finger in the big, heavy, wood/leaded glass door. We took her to the hospital about 10:30 p.m., and by the time she was x-rayed, etc., it was 1 a.m. Her finger isn't broken, but it's swolen and discolored, and we're pretty sure her fingernail isn't going to make it. As heavy as our front door is, we're lucky she didn't lose the finger. But back to the topic, Guys...Geaux Tigers!
Only because there were 2 other undefeated teams from BCS conferences that year. This year there are none. I have to agree; an undefeated team from a BCS conference should not be left out in order to include two one-loss teams. I don't care if their schedule was designed to make them bowl eligible. The fact that they will also have to play a conference championship game makes their case even stronger.
Sure you are....I think there for I am.......or somthing like that. When Auburn was past up for the BCSCG was Texas and USC both unbeaten? I don't recall. But you do have a good point.
As the SEC tends to do, we knock each other off. There are only 2 teams left that we played that are currently in the top 20, Fla and V Tech. The rest have fallen out. Our strength of schedule is decreasing.
I hear that ALL the time and don't mean this towards you but don't other conferences play each other too? Isn't, like, Illinois in the same conference as Ohio State? I mean, if it wasn't for Cal beating Oregon, they'd be undefeated now and #1.
I think he's referring to the fact that the SEC has more good teams that other conferences. A product of this is that almost every team in the SEC is capable of winning each week. In contrast, the low-mid tier teams in the other BCS conferences are less likely to be able to knock off one of the conference's elite teams (at least that's the way I interpreted it). It's a comment on the depth of the SEC rather than the fact that all conferences have their teams play each other.
As Lil Jules stated, our conference strength is tough top to bottom. We knock each other out of the top 20. Our schedule strength has decreased because of this. Oh well. Win out and we'll be there. :thumb:
Just as long as we have that #1 spot at the end of the year...all else is just smoke! :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
Back then the scores went from 1.00 on up (so the lower your number, the better). It ended up as LSU 5.90 and USC 6.10 (somewhere pretty close to that). Can't quite remember how far we were behind (seems like 6.30 to 6.90 maybe). Oklahoma ended up 5.10 I think.
