I agree that they have a decent win over OSU, but Nebraska? Come on now, they're one game under .500

Just watched the Fox postgame show ... still seems like Oregon is getting all the love.

As an aside, am I the only one starting to feel a rematch with Oklahoma coming on? Oklahoma beats Kansas in the Big 12 championship game, I wonder if they could jump Oregon? We will win out, of course. :crystal:

Seems to me that the media "wants" Oregon in the BCSCG no matter what. I don't think they "mind" having LSU but they wouldn't want it to be LSU-KU. Why the love for Oregon? It isn't a school with a proven record of traveling well to bowl games, and it isn't a population center? Is it just a Pac-10 thing?

I don't disagree with you about the playoff, but they deserve to drop further than we did. We are 5-1 against ranked teams. I don't know their record against ranked teams, but I know it isn't that impressive.

This may be a novel concept around here, but maybe the big bad media really does think that Oregon is the best team in the country. Is that so hard to believe? They've had a great season, and barely lost to a pretty good team. It's not like we have been far and away better than Oregon to the point that it is absurd that objective observers would think that they are more deserving.

I bleed purple and gold, but I respect the fact that Oregon has had a great season. IMO they are just as deserving as anyone else to go to New Orleans. For that matter, so is Kansas if they win out. It sucks, but someone is going to have to be left out in the cold. Thankfully, I don't think it will be us...so long as we take care of business.

Oregon is in some trouble unless Kansas loses - Kansas already is beating Oregon in the computer polls (Kansas #2, Oregon #3), and Kansas (if they win out and face Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship game) has a tougher schedule remaining. Luckily for Oregon, I don't think Kansas can win out...

It's gonna be really tough for OU to surpass Oregon if both win out. OU's computer polls in the end will be at least 1 spot behind Oregon. They play a 7-4 TT and a 5-5 OSU. It will help a bit. They would be better served playing an undefeated Kansas vs a 1 loss Missouri whom they already beat. Basically they have no chance unless they play an undefeated Kansas.

    Auburn was??

I don't think, providing we win out, that Oregon or any other team can jump us with that big of a margin in the BCS, but I'm no expert, so I ask- Am I correct in thinking this?
