Gives new meaning to the words, "Why don't you take a vacation on us. Go ahead take some time off, you've earned it!"
As it stands now, here's what I see: 0 TE - No real good ones out there besides Orson. 1 FB - and a damn good one! 1 K - a JUCO 4-5 DLine - I see us picking up one more, but it could be 2 3-4 LBs - Minter & Mingo, and then one OOS pick-up but we'd take 2 5-6 OLine - We're currently at 5 counting Downs, but Su'a-Filo would make it 6 3-4 DBs - We're sitting at 3 counting Claiborne & Loston, and we'd like one more safety 2-3 WR's - Kenny Bell, and we'd love to finish with DeBose & Randle. 1 ATH - I had Calhoun as a DB, but I'm less & less sure there. I think he starts off at WR. 2 RBs - same story, it only goes to 3 if Richardson switches 2 QBs - set in stone
Looks good. I've bolded what I think are the keys to the rest of the class. One more big name in each of those categories would be huge with what we've got in the quiver right now. As for RB - any guesses on exactly what's keeping the big offers away from CM? Intangibles? Overrated?
I agree that a big name LB will be a huge boost, but I don't see another DL as being an integral part of the class. He's a tad overrated. His offers don't reflect a 5 star player. And, specifically to LSU, he just doesn't offer us anything we don't already have in Ford.
I guess I'm thinking in terms of the depth we have enjoyed there. When I do the math for next year and the year after, seems to me we need one more high-probability stud, like JM or the guy from Michigan or even Sentimore. I get why LSU isn't falling over themselves, but I wonder why Big 12 teams aren't scooping him up. Says a lot.
