i think escobar will be more valuable on the actual field than from a roto geeks standpoint and the opposite may be said for kj. namely b/c of defense. kotsay would also bother me in cf. his range cant be + and Ive seen him get turned around on more than one occasion in spring and look pretty awful. hes a gamer though. health always a question as well.
i knew i could jinx him. escobar with a crucial error and kj exits as his knee was clearly still killing him. bravos bullpen looking great. 2 losses to powerhouses.
and i typed that before the mclouth homer. laroche had a good game as well. if xavier nady could ever stay healthy he'd go 30/90 even in that lineup. jason bay is close to the weak link in the lineup since knee problems the last few years. he went from looking like a perennial 30/30 guy to disappointment as fast as anyone. larry wayne up representing the tying run.
i agree and I typed that before the 2nd bomb to likely win it. damn. 2 out three run shot in the top of the 12th.
They may struggle a bit. The Braves have an awful scenario that includes old pitchers not going deep into games and relying on shaky relief guys. Too bad Chiper and the guys dont roid up to produce more runs. They should.
Mike Hampton scratched 5 mins before his start. So late that the game started late for the Braves to warm up the new starter. Quick Question: Do the braves get his money off the books if say... someone shoots him?
