I agree he's on thin ice and I would love for them to fire him in a couple of weeks, but that means they will get a better coach and that's not what we want. This is the prime reason you don't give out guaranteed contracts!!!! Aggies boosters have a lot of money and want to win now, but paying out a large sum for Jimbo to leave only to have to turn around and commit to another $50-100 million is a lot to ask of anyone. It's going to get interesting!
$1.5 million. Also, Max is starting at QB tomorrow. Somebody from App tweeted "we did that". Serously, the crowd was calling for him in the 3rd qtr last week. Thinking Jimbo is trying to quiet the roar and cool off his hot seat.
He may be in his second year of his new contract, but this is his fifth year with the Aggies and he's yet to make an SEC championship game or even be in the playoff discussion. Even though he has a guaranteed contract, I could see both parties agreeing to a lesser amount because last thing Jimbo wants to do is get booed out of his home stadium every weekend and Aggie fans will do that. Not only from a professional, but also a mental standpoint, no one wants to be where they're not wanted and it's reaching a boiling point in Aggie land. He better beat Miami or it's going to become an inferno!
Don't think so! A lot of unrest in Aggie land and this could be the dagger that begins negotiations for a buyout. You have a new coach with a team that's hungry against a team that almost ready to throw the towel in!
