I always thought of Jimbo as a middle of the road coach. He’s really very similar to what you get with Coach O. He might have a good year or two but overall he’s really not a good coach. If he’s around next year, he better hope those multiple paid for five stars pan out.
Jimbo's 50th game at A&M. He's 35-15. Kevin Sumlin's record at A&M through 50 was 36-14. A&M getting their money's worth.
What’s jumbo’s excuse this time. Congratulations @APPTiger your team played great and deserved the praise
Can someone post the picture of the three (I think) A&M yell leaders that are jumping gaily in the air. I can’t find the damn thing. Thanks in advance.
I've said it for years that Jimbo was the most overrated coach in the country. IMO, the next two games are crucial for Jimbo's future. If Miami and Arkansas hand the Aggies two more home losses to start its season, I think Jimbo will be shown the door. A large contingent of Aggie fans were already restless prior to the season and to get absolutely manhandled by a lower tier D1 team on national television was humiliating. The offense looked lost and defense wasn't much better. If they want to keep the high paid recruits they have already and want any chance at having another great recruiting class, Jimbo has to go.
The NIL Money is one thing but kids still want that NC Ring and the glory that goes with it. Jimbo will never win a NC at A&M and neither will the paid for players
