Herman and Aranda are supposed to be really good friends. Think they were roomates in college or something like that. It could work.

This is correct. The unfortunate piece is there is just no way to tell who the right coach is. It's all a gamble and you just hope for the best.
And they didn't give Strong a chance to field a complete team of his own. Herman would be a fool to take that job.
