With a press it isn’t that bad. The hardest part is not tearing up the ABS and dust shield for the brakes.
If it seizes and tries to spin, it could kill the whole system, not just the belt. ACs are pretty simple. As long as the system is discharged.
Just be sure if you replace the compressor to change the orifice tube and dryer too. Apparently that’s a thing.
