I once heard Orbison described as the world's only operatic rockabilly singer. I don't think there will ever be a Roy Orbison cover band. Where would they find the lead singer.

spookerly ? as you probably know, Elvis thought Roy Orbison was the greatest,.. I had a CD of Orbison's early songs,..I was amazed by how much he sounded like Elvis, or more correctly how much they sounded alike. Great CD, wish I still had it.
To have Elvis's respect back then was quite a big deal shows you that Elvis had humility and character.
