No question about it, Illinois is a DEAD END - I can't believe Zooker went there. IMO, it's one of the least attractive jobs in college football. Illinois is stuck somewhere between football and basketball (and they lean on basketball). I simply think there are far more atrractive openings right now, even as a coordinator. I really, really think the Illinois job is for suckers...
Right on ... it's a miserable place too ... just make a visit once The NCAA coaching game has turned into a game of "Musical Chairs" for many, many mediocre schools & coaches ... and since coaches need to eat, they'll settle for less and not gamble at being the poor ass left standing ... lotsa corn where Zooker's headed ... a miserable place in the winter ... it's chow time "Cool Hand Zuke" ... get mad at that cornpone, boy
Fortunately for the Zookinator he is able to cover up his obvious coaching deficiencies by recruiting better talent than everyone else in his conference.
its 3 years later and i had to take my medicine. next year when zook is coaching michigan I will owe him another apology. or cuss him depending if you like miles or not.
Yeah and the talent he left won a National Championship too but Meyers, "The good coach" hasn't maintained this year.......hmmmm. tirk, everydoby misses one once and a while.
