Toxic situation, the article says....right, toxicity brought on by AD, his agent, Lebron and the league office for not shutting down their shenanigans. But the bottom line is, as bad as Dell Demps was, his last (non)move out the door was one of his best. By not folding to the pressure to deal Davis mid-season, the Pels are now sitting in the catbird seat. They can either deal him for a package that could include another top 5 draft choice, or (if Griffin can sell AD on staying), they suddenly have a big 3 situation in AD, Zion and Jrue. Also, Griffin's first move on his arrival can not be overstated at this point. I've said for years the team's biggest problem has been its ineptitude in the training room. In nola, players get hurt too easily, and they stay hurt. The hiring of Aaron Nelson away from the Suns should fix the problem, and Griffin should play that move up big when he makes his pitch to AD, who's had way too many DNP's for minor injuries over the years.

I was embarrassed for him, Bama fans are mature by comparison. Meanwhile, Smith's ESPN colleagues are now floating all of Zion's options for avoiding coming to nola; by publicly demanding a trade or going back to school. They are so collectively butthurt that the Knicks or Lakers didn't get the one, and they are so incredibly out of line in the way they are trying to manipulate the situation to one they find acceptable.
You're right, but they're saying it as an option he has if he doesn't want to play here. I guess we'll never be a contender because all of our superstars leave, 5 star draft picks coming into the league don't want to play here, so we'll never sign the elite free agents needed to win.
