Shep was the one who said he wanted to make the switch to WR.

“I’ve been in this offense for a year as a quarterback, and the zone-read is something that I’m very, very comfortable with. I’m familiar with the reads. If they ask me to play quarterback, I’m going to do it and I’m ready to do it. They prepared during camp for situations like that, if the quarterbacks went down, and if it happens I’d be happy to step in and do it.” - Russell Shepard

Well said. I will grade this Offensive coaching staff a ZERO if they do not get our best weapons in some creative schemes this Saturday.

Look, there's a time to play it safe, and there is a time to "let er rip" - I hope Miles gets back to his old self and rips a big one Saturday : )

Yea, more wildcat is exactly what this team needs to open up the offense.:hihi:

Let's run JJ more too while we are at it.

It all seriousness I wouldn't mind him getting a few touches in the wildcat but we already have JJ and Ware of late getting those touches and not doing to bad at it. Adding Shep wouldn't really shake too much up in the offense. He needs to produce at WR 1st and foremost.

To begin the season, the lack of offensive performance was on JJ. Well, we started playing Lee more to supplement, and it worked out. 400+ yards against Florida. THEN we faced a REAL D-Line at Auburn, and we discovered that we have a whole 'nother issue...the Offensive Line.

With all the four and five-star skill players we've been raking in, I believe that the O-Line has sort of been overlooked. There are quite a few converts there...people that have never played O-Line until they got to LSU. This is a very big mistake, IMHO. EVERYTHING goes through the O-Line...literally.
