    had not heard that. i knew he was supposed to start wed night and was even warming up. got pulled just a few mins before game time but had no idea why. not good. i certainly hope he can rehab get past his injury.

    That's too bad. We were hoping he'd do some middle relief for us. He tore the ligament just warming up. It's amazing how injuries can just happen.

    the crazy thing was that it took a few innings for me to realize alsup was pitching instead of zeigler. lol.

    i wonder if he'll be converted from a pitcher to position player because of the tommy john surgery, and the fact that he swings the bat well?

    I think they will redshirt him and then bring him back to pitch next year if the surgery and rehab goes well.

    maybe so, but the kid had gaudy offensive stats, albeit high school, but good bat-swinging skills all the same.
