i think that was a big reason they let him go. he had a rep for bitching at his pitchers who shook him off constantly. can you see him bitching at maddux or smoltz? and why are announcers debating if smoltz gets in the hall? its not even debatable. should be first ballot imo. hes as good or better than glavine or maddux overall. saves, wins and postseason dominance. 7-0 all-time in postseason? maddux has always sucked then.
