Zach Von Rosenberg, who signed with LSU as a pitcher and then signed with the Dodgers is walking on to the LSU football team. He was a QB at Zachary HS as a freshman, quit football and the came back as the punter.

He played in the minor leagues until being released and is now 6'5", 230.
He said he wants to play any position where he can help but has been throwing the football as part of hos workouts at Traction, a local sports training center partially owned by former major leaguer Ryan Theriot.

Theriot said Rosenberg is ridiculously smart and if he put his mind to it would have no trouble learning the playbook. Could a 25 year old who hasn't played QB since the 9th grade be the answer at QB?

No way he takes over for a guy who is a single threat. I'm not saying dual threat anymore, it's disingenuous.

Like you'd have to be smart to learn our 3 plays.

Either way he's remembered more by accident on a daily basis.

If he's another Mauck, by all means sign him up!!!

Most LSU Fans, Alums, Season Ticket Holders and all those that attend most/all of the games in Tiger Stadium have had enough of "Athletic Athletes" trying to play the QB position at LSU. We need a real quarterback, not a glorified running back playing QB.

Etling, Von Rosenberg, Caleb Lewis, (Current LSU PWO) Tanner Lee (Tulane transfer)............Don't care. Just put somebody out there that can learn a higher % of the playbook, read defenses, go through progressions and that can effectively and consistently "Push the ball threw the Air" into the hands of our WR's, TE's and RB's.

(BTW, I like the jerseys in this photo much better than the ones with the smaller numbers that we've been wearing the last three seasons. They look and fit better)

You know what I wish ?? I wish our fast feet and strong legs that we get for our QB could out run and be stronger than those big ugly d linemen in the SEC . Our fast feet and strong legs @ QB can't out run them why is that ?? And our QB always seem to be running back ,every now and them Fast feet breaks away for a 18 yd run and we hear "Oh yea !! We got a QB " Then the next two plays we lose 25 yards . Fast feet and strong legs .
