I believe the offset language only pertains to the final year of the deal. He would get that final year contract money even if he signs with another team but doesn't hurt the Titans's cap space. Marotta could be paid by 2 teams in the same season from what I understand.
I don't know if the Titans gave in or not but Mariota put his name on the dotted line yesterday. It seems like they are determined to just give him the starting job. I'd like to see Mett end up in Denver. This could be Peyton's last year and Mett could ride the pine and learn from one of the greatest.
quat I don't know if the Titans gave in but they probably did if it wouldn't count against the cap. What all these guys knocking Mariota don't understand is that he owed no loyalty to the Titans whatsoever until he actually signed the contract. And as I pointed out before this is the only time in his career when he was certain that he had some negotiating leverage. Yes, he was a great college QB and a Heisman winner. That means doodlysquat and guarantees nothing. Can anybody say Johnny Manziel? Doug Flutie? Chris Weinke? Sam Bradford? OK, the jury may still be out on Bradford but they are nearing the end of deliberations and I pretty sure the verdict will be Guilty! Guilty of Mediocrity in the First Degree.
Sometimes things don't work out the way you expect It's not easy being a NFL quarterback. I prefer college http://www.lolboom.net/top-10-colle...p-US-Cheer&utm_content=miami&utm_campaign=The
for now, yes. confidence showed with mett and mariota was nervous. someone is going to pick up mett and he will go the matt flynn route but should be a starter somewhere soon. also, if that dog survives, it will never get anywhere near a porcupine again.
