That's correct SabanFan. Look fellas, I'm not trying to debate whether or not Mett deserves to be in there this year by any means. I like JJ & JL, & I think that the system has worked thus far, but that's b/c we have a stellar run game & THE best D in the country! JJ has learned how to run the option pretty well, & JL has become a good game manager & can make throws when he needs to. Since there isn't any big topics week, I thought I would discuss the future at QB for a minute. I haven't seen any footage on Mett at the JuCo, but I saw the spring game & the kid's got a rocket arm! Not only that, I saw him zip the ball in a tight pocket for a first down. I also read one of you say that "he's not the savior", another said something to the affect "don't expect him to flourish under Krag & Miles' system", but I don't understand why you would say that. I know this guy has a lot of potential, & yea, Miles calls very conservatively, but he also hasn't had a QB that could make all the throws that this guy can. I'm just really excited about having a dominant D, dominant run game, elite WR's & FINALLY, POTENTIALLY a QB that can throw up & down the field! That's an unstoppable, potentially.
You gotta be kidding ,bullchit? How many true or rsfr have success as a qb in the sec? You r smoking something.
One thing is for sure , we will not have back to back 12-0 seasons . Right ? Right . SO to this Tiger Team I say GEAUX TIGERS !!!!
I'll be 100% honest with you, my friend; I can see a small chance that LSU might go undefeated this year and the next two. Small is the operative word here, but to paraphrase Fishhead, dayum we're loaded. I can't remember anything like the way this program is stacking up. I'm an optimist to a fault, admittedly. There are worse problems to have.
I dang sure hope not. I wouldn't mind the Flynn/Perilloux set up, but not this cluster phrick that we have going now. I don't think Mett signed up for that.
You're right Mett didn't sign up for that, but The Hat seems to like to use 2 qbs with different abilities.
He **** the bed against Auburn and Florida and was summarily removed from contention. After the Arizona shellacking he was on the front page of ESPN.Com's Heisman Watch.
I really don't understand how this QB system is a problem. People talk about how well JL has performed this year while ignoring that JJ has performed pretty well himself. We are no worse for the wear. This year, JJ has ran the offense well based on the limited body of work we have to evaluate. JL was a savior this year. They have different, but needed skill sets. Stop worrying about what we looked like last year. This year, we look like the best team in football, with a great defense, great special teams, and a potent enough offense to beat any other team in the country.
