I came across this video on YouTube of Miles at the end of the Ole Miss game. Clearly he is making the motion with his arms for Jefferson to spike the ball, and he does it several times. YouTube - Les Miles Calling for Spike and Lying Against Ole Miss 11/21/09 In his post game interview Miles states that he did not direct Jefferson to "clock" the ball but the video shows otherwise.
