Also, there is a Move On ad out there showing a guy at a tea party gathering wearing a swastica. The audio portion had him saying "Yeah, I'm a racist". What the ad didn't show was the entire video in which tea partiers were yelling at him, telling him he didn't belong there and to get the F out of there.
so, it wasn't edited? Nothing was left out? The entirety of what she said wasn't left out? I agree with you about Obama though.
how is this any different? so basically you guys are saying it's ok for fox to do it, but not move on? Or it's ok to do it, because move on does it? Fair game? Didn't i get reamed for saying that about Shabazz?
I don't think that is what is being implied. The facts are they both aired leading media clips. Both wrong, both should have done a better job with the selection of thier evidence.
The story was run by Megyn Kelly at noon and by O'Reilly and Hannity later that night. They ran what they received from Breitbart. The next day when Redden spoke out, Kelly got the full video and arranged for an interview with Redden. Even though Redden backed out, Kelly ran the rest of the tape, which "explained" her remarks but didn't exactly exonerate her from racism, IMO. She railed on about how this (literally) poor farmer was trying to act superior to her, how she didn't give him the full benefit of her office because he was white and how she referred him to a white attorney so he could deal with "his own kind". No matter how you slice it, that's racism and discrimination. I don't think she should have lost her job, though, because it happened in 1986 and she has apparently learned from it. In your vigor to vilify Fox News, you are acting just like Obama: Running your yap without any clue as to what really happened. I don't like embarrassing you like this. Try and read up on things before spouting off.
you didn't embarrass me, i don't pretend to know everything. I appreciate you taking the time though. I don't really need to vilify fox news, they do a fine job themselves. I do agree with you on most of this though, except that maybe the full clip should have been shown originally. Her whole stance is kind of david dukish though. I used to be a racist but now i'm not. Ninja please.
Which is what you are not getting. They showed what was given to them. Brightfart only sent them half the clip, the part that would better get his argument across that the naacp was just as racist as anyone else out there. The video was given to britefart by some other goon back in Feb I believe. The right play for Fox would have been to find out the rest of what was on the clip prior to showing it. That however does not pay the bills and ratings do so they went for the money shot, got it, then back tracked and played the responsible journalist card by saying, "oh here is the rest of the video" after it was made available to them.
But here is what we are trying to say. You can call them what you want however they are the only network that will show you most of what you need to know. The other outlets won't even cover most of it which is the reason for SF's "if you don't watch fox you have no idea what we are talking about" comment. I'm not saying to "believe" everything you hear there, good gracious no, but at least listen and then go research it and form your own opinion. It is far better than being left in the dark or even worse, being fed a big cup of "the economy is doing fine keep voting Dem".
