Easy Pulled Pork This is incredibly simple, yet oh so good. 5# ish pork butt 1 can Dr. Pepper Tony's or Slap Ya Momma 1 bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce Put pork butt fat side up in a heavy pot Pour in the Dr. Pepper Add Tony's or SYM Put the lid on and put it in the oven for about an hour per pound plus 30 min Remove from oven take off lid. Remove pork from pot and drain the pot. Shred the pork and put back in the pot and mix with desired amount of BBQ Sauce Put back in oven for about 45 min You will be amazed how good this is. When I had my food booth at the Mandeville Trailhead, people would beg for this recipe. Of course, I never told them. Had to keep them coming back! I sold pulled pork sandwiches and I sold the meat by the pint. big money maker for me.
Makes 4-6 Servings Bone-In Chicken (I use 8 thighs, skin on) Use whatever you like... 2 medium onions 2 gloves garlic, minced 1lb (2 cans) can diced tomatoes 8oz can seasoned tomato sauce 1tsp salt 1tsp crushed oregano 1/2 tsp celery seed 1/4 tsp pepper 2 bay leaves 1/4 cup Cooking Sauterne or Cooking Wine Brown chicken with olive oil and remove from skillet. Add onions and garlic, cook until tender Combine rest of ingredients (except for cooking wine) Add chicken the skillet and pour tomato sauce over top. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes Stir in cooking wine Cook uncovered turning chicken occasionally for about 20 minutes or until chicken is tender and sauce is thick. Pressure Cooker Version (taste exactly the same as above) Brown the Chicken Add all ingredients to Pressure cooker Soup/Stew button 25-30 minutes
