I only saw the check to me a few times, Shepherd got his 10 plus touches, and RR saw some good playing time. I think this will allow the offense to start progressing now that a certain type of rhythm can be sustained. The key to me was the lack of the check to me!! Kudos to the mad hatter :thumb: btw... i hope the bench JJ for JL talk finally stops. did yall catch that near pick six on the goal line!! :nope:
But we don't we won't from here on out so therefore we must abandon the standard running plays with Scott. No more Charles Scott, except for some FB dives from an option formation.
Even when they did the meercat, I don't think it took as long as it did prior to this game. Seems like they really did use the bye week to clean things up.
Nah, that's horse-hockey. It was surprising to see the run not more effective tonight, but it was fine against the Gators (when we used it). You can't abandon the inside running game.
You could definitely tell the lack of the check with me kept AUs front 4 at bay...they couldnt get the jump that teams previous to today were getting, including ULL (which obviously doesn't compare with AUs defense). JJ had loads more time in the pocket tonight. With that said...the one concern I still have with JJ is the 72 step drop...I really hope he shortens that a bit as he gets more experienced.
