I think it’s awesome! Let Miami and/or Auburn feel like all they have to do is roll their helmets out there (in the famous word of Marcus Spears). Hopefully they won’t know what him em.
Could someone rename this thread the "Let's insult Each Other" thread so I don't have to read thru it again thinking it might have something useful.
I'm tempted to ask how we can be ranked at all with no proven QB. How many teams above us have a qb who's never started a game for them? I really wonder and don't know.
I see quite a few actually without proven QB’s. It could be more egregious. What has Kyler Murray proved to have OU ranked at 5? What has Rosier and Miami proved to be ranked at 8? USC at 15 with a new QB? What makes USC at top 15 team? What makes MSU at top 11 team? There question marks all over the current top 25. Stanford, Notre Dame, TCU? What makes any of them so special? Preseason rankings mean dick all
I didn't say "proven". I made a point not to. I said ot having one who's even started a game for them. Also, it was a question, not an argument claiming anything. JB does bring some experience with him, just not with us.
Pretty sure you asked how we could be ranked without a proven QB. Either way, Maybe I shouldn’t have said not proven and said inexperienced. I’m Not arguing with you, I apologize if that’s how it came across. In my opinion Just because they started a handful of games doesn’t make them experienced. If you want to draw the line there that’s fine, I’m not going to research how many games these guys have started, not sure it’s relevant. Burrow will start Miami.....there...he has a start under his belt. I see quite a few teams sprinkled throughout the top 25 with inexperienced QB’s (we see that every year). I’m not arguing they don’t deserve their ranking but I’ll argue against anyone trying to debunk LSU’s ranking while accepting the teams I mentioned above. I take a nuetral approach that preseason rankings don’t really mean all that much. I certainly think a lot more goes into a ranking and makeup of a team than the QB. I mean, we’re LSU fans. We should know that as much as anybody. I’d argue having a top defense is more important in being a formidable team than a top QB. There are 25 “ranked” teams and MAYBE 3 of them are “complete” teams ready to compete at the highest level at this point. The rest (LSU included) have work to do.
