You better set your expectations for this season accordingly

    @Brian Your whole premise within this thread is Nick Saban, through negative recruiting tactics, signed Surtain. He did so by pointing to job insecurity with Corey.

    Simply put, believing that is delusional. It simply didn't happen that way.

    Almost to the dotted i's and crossed t's his recruitment followed the same path as Rashaan Evans. You can take exception to one thing. Saban did interview Surtain Sr. in mid-January for the vacant defensive backs coach. While Surtain maintained it was strictly professional you know what the two men talked about. They talked about defensive backs, how they coached, what their (UA Staff's policies) are all about...it was an interviewed that pointed out the very structure his son could be under.

    Get upset about that. It's murky, at best. This Corey pitch...you know what that is.

    There is not one person in here who knows for sure what a coach tells a player on anyone's side. All you can do is make assumptions based on rumors.

    And quite frankly, given the all too human tendency to hear what we want to hear, the recruit may not know for sure what the coach is really saying.
