The number 18 jersey isn't so much about production on the field it is about about leadership in practice and off the field. Blasting Barrow is just damn wrong!

Miss St and UF arent potent on O. Give those young guys more opportunities. I cant see how Louis, Debo, and Beckwith could do much worse than Barrow or Welter. I like that White and Robinson are getting more PT. They having growing pains but both should be studs in a year or two. I think Thompson is already better than Loston.

You would be correct. Time for the more talented players to see the field.

If Barrow is the "leader" of this defense, it's the reason we are so bad this season.

All of those guys made some giant mistakes last night, but thank goodness we didn't put all of them in at the same time.
If we were 1-4 then I would be all for playing all of the younger and more talented players. However we are in a championship race with all of our goals still in reach.

In this scenario you match bits and pieces while giving these young guys as much experience as possible. As they grow you give them more and more playing time and hopefully end up with your most cohesive units on the field.

Agreed. I don't know how many times we blitzed, but when we did, the results seemed to be better.

I'm pretty sure we blitzed on both of MSU's td passes.
I'm not against blitzing at all but you need some luck.

I can't for the life of me figure out why our front 4 can't get any pressure. Maybe the line should stunt more, or even drop the ends into coverage and rush a linebacker or 2 every now and then, mix it up, just seems like we are running the same base defense every play. I'm afraid to think of Barrow and Welter in this next game against a mobile qb running the zone read.
