Corporate take over is rather strait forward. You buy the majority of STOCK, and you own it. A common way of doing this is to approach existing stock holders and offer a good price for their stock. The Company is powerless to stop you, as it does not own the stock. So ... buy up 50%+1 of the stock, and you now have the majority voice, and get to run the company. I say .. go Elon.

Board members are legally responsible to make money for shareholders (or at least try) they simply cannot go to their shareholders and explain why they turned down an offer to double their money. Furthermore, if they turn it down he can all but crash the stock by dumping what he already has. So they are left with the choice of A. Make an insane amount of money or B. Lose damn near everything
