The bill went back to the senate with changes and then people (25 Senators?) used that instance to kill the bill. The House could have passed the bill with a simple majority? Right? So I don’t know what changes made it go back to the Senate but it got kicked back to them and now it is nothing more than everyone blaming everyone for the result. it sounds like par for the course in our legislature.
Bullshit. Furthermore, $400 million would amount to only one twentieth of one percent of our annual military budget. Republicans didn't vote this down because of "pork", they voted it down because of a hissy fit... because they're pissed at Joe Manchin's spending agreement with Chuck Schumer.
