Football scoop reporting that Helton wants to contact O about a position on his staff, I'm assuming as DC. They are good friends. Steele - Orgeron = Swiss Cheese.

Yep. Once they fire the Athletic Director, which I will be shocked if they don't, he/she is going to want to bring in their own person to coach.

 

He named Helton the permanent head coach today.

 

Yep, I saw that as well. However, I am not sure the AD is going to be around for much longer, which means the coach may go as well. The AD has had several bomb hires, so it isn't just about football. At a time when their across town rival is doing much better, the natives are restless, and the AD's head will probably be on the chopping block before long.

 

Yaw yaw would leave to become DC, but i don't think to be DL coach.

 

I don't know. May be some burned bridges there until an AD change.

 

Miles needs to do whatever he has to, fire Steele if need be to keep O here. He is too good a coach and recruiter to lose at such a crucial stage.

 

Yep. He should have never hired Steele. Been better off making coach O the DC.
