You still got the book? BTW, I stood in line for 2 1/2 hours to shake Muhammad Ali's hand and i'll always remember his words to me after asking me my name while autographing a picture, "How you spell it?" Wow.
Nah, I looked for it the other day and couldn't find it. I saw Ali at Yokota AB in Japan in 1972. The link below is a photo from the visit. I was one of the 4,500 in attendance. I didn't get as close as the young lady in the photo. http://www.stripes.com/photooftheday.asp?photo=120805photoday.html
as much as it pains me to say this, cccc.... cc....c....congrats? Really though Yankees left handed pitching dominated the Phillies left handed bats, and that was the story of this World Series. The better team definitely won.
Is it really that big of a deal to win the World Series when your team is the only one without a salary cap and you have all the stars? Is that really a level playing field. Shouldn't the Yanks win it every year with that kind of talent?
They all play by the same rules. It's called the free market. Yanks pay millions in luxury taxes as do other teams who spend a lot for players. It's their 1st WS win in 10 years so, no. There does not appear to be any correlation between payroll and odds of winning it all. You sound like a USL fan.
