Y'all still happy with the limited pass attempts in the first two games?

Except Flynn actually led a team to the NC, didn't ride the bench and both were considered massively overpaid busts when they tried to be starters for their respective NFL teams.

Though Flynn has had a lot of elbow/arm problems. It's a piece of why he lost the job in Seattle to a rookie in Wilson. He doesn't have the zip on the ball he once did. It's why he could flourish in GB's system and very few others. Mike McCarthy is brilliant at protecting a QB from their drawbacks and maximizing their strengths. Always has been. A better QB guru than Sean Payton.

MC has certainly had a charmed life and he's got more money in the bank most likely, but I think I'll take leading a team to the title as a fifth year senior and making it far longer in the league than the guy he sat behind who flamed out in spectacular fashion. (Though I think most Tiger fans expected JaMarcus to struggle in the league. I know I did.)

And Flynn still has the love and respect of the citizens of Louisiana. If he ever wants to go in to business or get into radio or TV doors will open for him. Cassel is just another D-list minor celeb in LA.

Wasn't impressed with either line. Especially!!!! The Defensive line who were being pushed 4 yards back. Offensive line is very young...

How did Flynn ever hurt his elbow? Bad grip on his golf swing or was the clipboard too heavy?

It never came out what initially caused it, but it could have been anything from tendinitis to scar tissue or bone spurs who knows. They throw a lot even if he didn't play a ton. Arms take wear.

Here's a link, but reportedly the elbow/arm is what really doomed his starting chances.

BTW, Matt Flynn threw at LSU's last pro day for the offensive players.

You compared them to Etling...there really is no comparison. Those guys are miles better than Etling physically and mentally.

Cassel didn't throw much at SC but he didn't ride the bench either. He played 4 different positions. And he does have a Natty ring.

And here I thought you were talking about Matt Leinart. ;)
I have no doubt that Flynn can do whatever he wants with his post NFL career. Cassel isn't even in the celeb category and I have no idea what he wants to do after football but if he wants, he's got an open door to the radio and TV business simply because he grew up out here and he knows people in the industry, including his mom who is an award winning set decorator.
