Y'all still happy with the limited pass attempts in the first two games?

LSU is going to have to find a pass attack in order to run this season. Teams still load the box, don't respect our passing game (QB or WR's) and sell out on the run. I agree, just because we put 5 wide doesn't necessarily translate to passing success, but other teams, with lesser ability and no run game do it. IF our OL is going to offer no protection, then play action is going to be too slow. We need a QB in the gun, quick passes and short routes. QB with the ability to do that is going to be Brennan (quick release and better arm than Etling) or Narcisse (used to the gun and RPO type offense). Other teams across the country do it and do it with Freshman or RsFr Qb's and it baffles me how LSU just can't do it as well. If we spread out the WR's and can complete a pass, the defense has no option but to spread out with us.

Hope he handles it better than Miles. Very Miles-esque this weekend.

Les used to appear at a weekly boosters luncheon, a no-press-allowed type of function. My older brother is a big supporter and always went to the luncheons. He said Les used to tell that group a lot of things he wouldn't say to the media, and a frequent theme that season was, "We should have a great starting QB, but I had to kick him off the team."

Everybody knows about Perilloux. Les should have recruited and developed another one or two or three.

OK. I disagree. Think those guys were better than game managers. But since you feel the need to be ugly, I'll just let it die...

Let me just point you to Brennan's first outing as a tiger. Don't think he put his mouth guard in once. His second outing against inferior competition he didn't set the world on fire, looked considerably more pedestrian than Etling. Add to it lackluster performance from WRs and OL. I hope we see a wise use of Brennan to help him develop. That should probably include a healthy dose of PT the next few weeks. I hear we might be red shirting Narcisse... He seems more helpful this year than Brennan and I doubt we get 5 years from him.

Mauck and more so Flynn had some moxie I have yet to see in Danny. He showed a little on that last play against AU that didn't count. There have been flashes but he needs to be more consistent with his leadership. With that said I think he is playing good, just not at the level you could put the game on his shoulders. I had no problem doing that with Flynn. I always felt confident he would make a play to help us win.

Oh please. Only person I'm ugly to is that bunkie buffoon.

They were better than game managers yes but that's all we asked of them. Hell even Jamarcus threw for 300 yards only twice.

Brennan is Oeauxs meal ticket. He knows the earliest he can be fired is 2018-2019. He wants to get his difference maker and job saver on the field asap.
