Y'all still happy with the limited pass attempts in the first two games?

On Tigerdroppings, there were actually folks throwing out the old Les excuse of "not opening up the playbook against inferior opponents."

Nope, we just still don't have a passing game. Etling is not a Division I QB, that's for sure, but he wasn't even the worst player on the offense tonight, so there's that.

 

No, better pass vs the 'cuse.

 

So far Canada has sucked. No substance to the passing game. It's either chuck it long behind a poor oline or long out routes with a QB with a relatively weak arm. All the motions are already starting to show tendancies in the run game. Very disappointed so far.

 

Etling is what we're stuck with unless you want to see Brennan thrown to the wolves behind that O line

 

Etling didnt lose this game and actually threw plenty of really good balls. He had no protection all night, ever, Id say he played his ass off under the circumstances. Watch it again.

 

Our banged up online may be showing problems. I disagree with a previous post I think the play calling has been good (rough in the last game yes). The saying take what the d is giving you is what we are doing. We tried that tonight but it doesn't help when players are dropping passes that are in their freaking hands. Not to mention shit officiating that takes 2 touchdowns off the score board.

 

Need quicker developing stuff. Helps the running game to boot. And it's easy.

 

Please tell me you didn't just suggest that I watch that shitshow again. He played as well as he could, but he's extremely limited, of course. But I already noted that he was not even close to the worst player on the offense tonight. In fact, he was probably the best offensive player tonight--and he was pitiful.
