i hated miles not challenging russell shepard being down by contact. i hated him not challenging the spot on that same series' third down. or fourth down. i hated the officiating. i hated the end of the first half. but the more i think about it... we just did something that we hadn't done in 22 freaking years. this is a good football team. i still question miles's passion, but i do not question this team's passion. i'm still a tiger.
I feel like the players are playing hard. I have no real problems with the players. All you can ask is they play hard and they are.
i would have agreed with you about miles' passion the first four games, but not today dude. he was about as excited as you'll ever see him today.
Saban coached LSU to the most humiliating loss to Georgia in LSU History. Saban's last team at LSU got beat down 16-45 @ Georgia in 2004. How in the hell did that happen? Here are all the losses LSU had to Georgia in history... who stands out as the biggest loser? 2004 -- 29 pts (16-45) -- Saban!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1948 -- 22 pts (0-22) 1991 -- 21 pts (10-31) 2005 -- 20 pts (14-34) 1947 -- 16 pts (19-35) 1952 -- 17 pts (14-27) 1978 -- 14 pts (17-24) 1979 -- 7 pts (14-21) 1949 -- 7 pts (0-7) 2008 -- 14 pts (38-52) 1999 -- 1 pt (22-23) 1998 -- 1 pt (27-28)
i agree he was fired up more so this game than most. i'm also not one of those fans who thinks every coach should be like saban. but to me if he really had passion, like die hard passion, he would do whatever it takes to win. those non-challenges told me (at the time) that he is not as passionate about winning as maybe i'd like to see. don't let me fool you though, the coaching is coming around in my mind. the players came out ready to jump through a wall. that comes from coaching, that came from him.
