Rumor was there were so many oranges they picked them up and made orange juice for the students. Anyone know if that is true or one of those myths?

The student section last night wasn't bad at all. I did notice like 2 cups were thrown up in the air after touchdown, but that happens everywhere. They were empty, no worries. It was self-inflicting anyway since it would only hit LSU fans anyway.

I also remember that coin or whatever hitting the Pitt coach. What the media failed to mention was that it was from the alumni section. The student section is on the opposite side of the court at WVU. The students, in that instance, were innocent.

Just watch any media about WV or WVU its all negative. We have such a bad reputation as a state and most of the people that keep the stereotypes alive have never been here. We have some of the hardest working, friendliest people you will ever meet.

I forgot, but uhh, I was sad when the student section was singing Justin Biebler. Less Beibler and more Metallica or something like that.

I was only in 7th grade, but it was a ridiculous number of oranges.

My BiL's brother played for LOL Miss back in the late 70s. He said he hated playing at Tiger Stadium because of the empty beer and bourbon bottles thrown at them when they walked into the stadium (and sometimes when they were on the sidelines). Every fanbase has their jerks...and most of them have decent, hospitable people, too...if anyone from a visiting team visits LSU on game day, so long as they're able to take a few 'tiger baits' and shrug off the random jerk, they'll eat and drink like freaking kings.

I'd say about every 10th person brought a bag of oranges into the game.

    Karnac says . . . 75,000 LSU fans divided by 10, times a dozen oranges = 90,000 oranges.

Actually if you break it down the coin/ice appears to have come from the Pitt section. I'm no conspiracy theorist but if you notice his head goes back... and to the left, again, back and to the left. If we could get Sports Science to break it down i'm confident we may have unraveled the possibility of a second thrower  . In all seriousness though it wasn't anywhere near the student section, it seriously came from the are directly behind the Pitt bench which is Pitt fans.
