""The funny part about it, we're all talking two weeks ago about how much difference the crowd's going to make to the LSU people. Well, LSU played well in front of 62,000 of our people and then turned around and went home and played a 1-4 Kentucky team at noon and had 95,000 people there. You want to talk about an elite program, that's one. I don't know about this place." Only thing that would have made this better is if he called out the "few" in his fan base for attacking LSU fans. But I do like the above statement. He Coach you are right LSU is an elite program. Thanks for pointing that out... Holgorsen not pleased with WVU fans - College Football Nation Blog - ESPN
Nope. Whether or not what he said was/is true, in today's highly political world of major college football, calling out your fanbase isn't going to win over many people. He starts stringing together too many loses and he'll be shown the door quickly.
There's not much reaction to it on themountaineernation.com Last night, they posted over 20 pages of comments hoping they were in the SEC as they awaited Missouri's meaningless announcement. They love their coach....but especially their AD (Oliver Luck)
